Our first in-person gathering in over 3 years was a great success!!

We spent two nights at Getaway House Barber County, 3 hours from O’Hare; 2.5 from Midway or Detroit Metro.

Monday, July 25

CHECK IN: Any time after 3p.m. (note that Michigan is on EDT - so one hour later than Chicago)
DINNER*: We’ll start gathering in a central location at 6, do some icebreaker activities and get to know each other, and have dinner together.
DRINKS AND S’MORES: After dinner we’ll share some drinks and make s’mores courtesy of We Grow Forward (Claudia’s company)

Tuesday, July 26

BREAKFAST*: Whenever you feel like it. Or not.
OPTIONAL HIKE: We’ll gather at our meeting spot (TBD) at 10 for a 4 mile hike on a paved path
LUNCH*: Up to you
FREE TIME: Part of the intent of this camp is to have time to recharge and rest, so we’re leaving the afternoon open for you to nap, or read, or hang out with each other. Here’s a list of things to do in the area if you’re feeling ambitious.
DINNER: We’ll coordinate designated drivers/carpools and head over to Three Blondes Brewing for dinner (included in registration) at around 6.

Wednesday, July 27

BREAKFAST*: Whenever you feel like it. Or not.
OPTIONAL HIKE: We’ll gather at our meeting spot (TBD) at 9:30 for another hike - we’ll go for about an hour so we can be back in time to check out.
CHECK OUT: by 11 a.m.

* Monday dinner, Tuesday breakfast and lunch, and Wednesday breakfast are on your own. We suggest stopping at a grocery store to pick up provisions on your way to camp. The cabins are stocked with some basics for purchase and have kitchens with refrigerators, stoves and pots and pans.
